AppLocale is a macOS application developed and provided by Luyao Lab. It helps developers prepare, translate, design, export, and publish App Store metadata and screenshots. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use AppLocale.
1. Information AppLocale handles
AppLocale may handle the following information on your Mac:
- App Store Connect credentials: Key ID, Issuer ID, and private key that you provide.
- AI provider credentials: API keys and selected model settings for third-party AI services that you choose to configure.
- App Store content: App names, subtitles, descriptions, keywords, URLs, localization data, screenshots, and related App Store Connect information.
- Local project data: Screenshot designs, templates, imported images, export settings, drafts, preferences, and cached project information.
- Purchase status: Product identifiers, entitlement status, and subscription expiration information supplied by Apple through StoreKit.
- Support information: Information you voluntarily send when contacting support.
2. How information is stored
App Store Connect credentials and AI provider API keys are stored locally in the macOS Keychain. Project files, screenshots, metadata drafts, templates, preferences, and entitlement cache data are stored locally on your Mac.
AppLocale does not operate an account server for storing your credentials or project content. AppLocale does not sell personal information and does not include third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs.
3. When information leaves your Mac
Information is transmitted only when required for a feature you choose to use:
- Apple and App Store Connect: When you load App Store data, publish metadata, manage localizations, or upload screenshots, AppLocale communicates directly with Apple's services using your App Store Connect credentials.
- AI translation providers: When you test an AI connection or request a translation, AppLocale sends the selected source text, translation context, target languages, and model request directly to the AI provider you selected. Your API key is used to authenticate that request. The provider processes this information under its own privacy policy and terms.
- App Store purchases: Apple processes payments and supplies entitlement information to AppLocale through StoreKit. AppLocale does not receive your full payment card or billing details.
- Support: If you contact us, your email provider transmits the information you choose to include.
You should avoid placing confidential, personal, or regulated information in metadata or AI translation requests unless you are authorized to process and transmit it.
