Island Reader is an EPUB, PDF, and text reader with read-aloud features developed by luyaolab. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Island Reader.
Island Reader is designed as a local-first reader. To provide reading, listening, highlighting, note-taking, search, and sync features, the app may process the following information on your device:
This information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to use iCloud sync.
Your complete imported book files are not uploaded to luyaolab servers. Reading content is processed only as needed to provide the features you choose.
If you use Wi-Fi transfer, files are transferred over your local network directly to the app while the transfer screen is active. luyaolab does not host, store, or inspect those files.
Island Reader may offer optional iCloud sync for supported app data such as reading progress, settings, highlights, notes, and library metadata. Synced data is stored in your private iCloud account under your Apple ID. luyaolab does not have access to your private iCloud data.
You can control iCloud availability through Apple system settings.
Island Reader may offer subscriptions or one-time purchases through Apple In-App Purchases. Payment information is handled by Apple and is not accessible to us. We may receive purchase status information from Apple in order to unlock paid features.
Island Reader does not use advertising tracking and does not sell personal data.
If analytics, crash reporting, or other third-party data services are added later, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and why.
